Solar Ash was announced as part of wave 1 of Microsoft’s Game Pass releases in September, launching on September 14th for Xbox, PC and the cloud. However, Heart Machine’s 3D action-adventure title is also coming to Nintendo Switch on the same day (as foreshadowed by a PEGI rating earlier this year). Check out the latest trailer below.
Solar Ash focuses on the Voidrunner Rei, who ventures into the Ultravoid to enact a plan to save her planet from destruction. Venturing through its surreal environments filled with the remains of past civilizations, she runs into the Echo, who warns her of activating the Starseed and battles enormous bosses.
Unlike the studio’s first effort, Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash is a fully 3D title focusing on platforming. Rei can grind on rails, glide, jump and much more as she unravels the secrets of the Ultravoid. Check out our review of the game here. It’s currently available for PS4, PS5 and PC.
