Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that the next iteration of EverQuest, taking place in an parallel version of Norrath, is in development. As of now, nothing else is known about the game which will be free to play and return to the gameplay style of the first EverQuest. We could very well get gameplay footage and new details at this year’s Gamescom, along with an update on when it will be coming to PS4.
2. The Resurgence of Media Molecule
Media Molecule has had a significantly big presence during all of the Sony’s conferences, including the initial PlayStation 4 reveal when it took part in a puppet show with Move controllers. Now, how about an ETA on that next Little Big Planet? We don’t put it past the developer to at least share some kind of indication as to whether a follow-up is in development. But it’s conspicuous as hell that one of SCEE’s premiere developers hasn’t revealed anything for the PlayStation 4 yet when games like The Order: 1886 and Guerrilla Games’ next have been discussed.
Count this as most definite. In fact, it’s pretty much confirmed that Sony will finally tell us when the PlayStation 4 will be releasing this year. The company has been going with the “Holiday 2013” tag since the console’s reveal, but rumours are running rampant that it could attempt to one-up the Xbox One’s November release by coming out on October 21st instead.
