Sony’s got some big stuff planned for September, as far as upcoming first party PS4 exclusives are concerned. This week at TGS, we’ll finally receive the big gameplay blowout for Death Stranding that we’ve been waiting for, with a trailer that will be nearly 50 minutes long. Following that, on September 24, Naughty Dog will be hosting a media event for The Last of Us Part 2, where we can expect to see new gameplay footage and – hopefully – a release date.
But it seems that might not be it. Over on ResetEra, ZhughEX – Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners – has dropped the tease that the Naughty Dog media event “isn’t the only Sony event that week.” Ahmad has a great track record as far as insider information is concerned, so even though there’s been no official word on what this might be, the information is coming from a credible source.
As for what this event is going to be, that’s anyone’s best guess. Both of Sony’s upcoming major upcoming exclusives are getting their time in the sun in the coming days, so there’s no telling what this even might be focused on. Perhaps it’s another State of Play broadcast?
