We’ve gone a long while without any real updates for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part 2. New gameplay footage was revealed at the recent GameStop conference but that wasn’t publicly released. Regardless, we’ll be hearing about the game again very soon – Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that there would be a media event for the game on September 24th.
Details are, of course, scarce, aside from the event taking place in Los Angeles, California. Interestingly enough, it’s not taking place on September 26th aka Outbreak Day in The Last of Us universe. This is when the infection hit critical mass and the world was more or less done for. Perhaps there’s a special reason for that.
The Last of Us: Part 2 is currently in development for the PS4. Rumors have noted that the game will be releasing in February 2020. Not only that it will have four different editions, namely Standard, Special, Collector’s Edition and the Ellie Edition. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime – it won’t be long now.
And…here….we…..go! See you later this month @Naughty_Dog @Neil_Druckmann pic.twitter.com/LL6RZVbJc1
