A new Summoner’s Guide video has been released for Atlus’s Soul Hackers 2, detailing different aspects of the RPG’s story and gameplay. Covenants are a big focus in the story and gathering all of them together sees the Great One arriving in its world. Mysterious villain Iron Mask of Project “C” is using the Phantom Society to summon the Great One, and is responsible for having Milady killed.
Milady is thus revived by Ringo and fights alongside her as part of Aion. Described as a “level-headed realist”, Milady tends to keep her “true thoughts” to herself which is supposedly related to her past. Since her actions can sometimes border on cruel, Milady often argues with Arrow. In terms of combat, she fights with Sai-style COMPs and Fire Skills while recovering MP from slain foes.
It wouldn’t be an Atlus RPG without dungeons and Soul Hackers 2 has its fair share. When players explore a dungeon, they’ll find red enemy symbols – if detected by them, they’ll chase the player until a battle begins. You can either slash at them to gain the advantage (like a bonus attack at the beginning of combat) or just avoid them.
Ringo’s Demon Recon can also be used to gather useful items like Medicine or even assist in healing. Said demons may even introduce you to other demons who can be negotiated with and recruited.
