Former Tomb Raider brand manager and current marketing VP for Square Enix Europe and North America Karl Stewart has confirmed via Twitter that the company will be showcasing two new trailers at this week’s Spike VGX Awards.

“Just reviewed the final cuts of both trailers we’re showing at next Saturdays Spike TV VGX. Amazing stuff from the teams as ever. Cant wait.” As of now, the expectation is that we’ll see something on Tomb Raider – either the Definitive Edition or the next-generation sequel.

As for the second trailer, anything is possible. There could be something on Thief, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XV, maybe even the next Hitman. Anything is possible at this point, so we won’t stop hoping for that Final Fantasy VII remake.

The Spike TV VGX Awards will be airing on December 7th, and thus far, it will see appearances from Titanfall and Quantum Break (which debuts its first gameplay trailer).
