Star Ocean The Divine Force

A new Star Ocean is coming, developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix. Star Ocean: The Divine Force offers a mix of sci-fi and fantasy elements taking place across a variety of different environments. In a new trailer, we get to see some of these environments, from lush fields and floating rocks in the sky to a futuristic city and majestic kingdom. Check it out below.

While story details have yet to be revealed (along with how it ties into previous games), there will be two different heroes to choose from, each with their own unique backgrounds and goals. Combat is in real-time and the emphasis is on high-speed movement combined with multi-hit attacks. All enemies can be viewed on the field itself and it’s possible to surprise attack foes from above.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is out in 2022 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay footage in the coming year.
