With all the major releases and announcements lately, many probably forgot that today is the second anniversary of Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield. Following the disappointing launch of Shattered Space, support has been somewhat low-key. However, new story DLC is coming, and it could involve a new, Earth-focused faction.

In a recent Instagram reel, Bethesda teased the words Terran Armada behind the anniversary message. No further details were provided, but a potential announcement in the coming months is possible. Lead creative producer Tim Lamb stated recently that there would be some “new game systems” and a “few other smaller delights” down the line.

A portion of the development team is also working on making space gameplay feel “more rewarding,” which could allude to proper interplanetary travel. Nothing is confirmed, of course, but all this could coincide with a release date announcement for the rumored PS5 version. Stay tuned in the meantime.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review of the launch version.
