Bethesda Softworks’ space-faring RPG Starfield continues to set new milestones with its player numbers. In the conference call for Microsoft’s Q1 fiscal year 2024 earnings, CEO Satya Nadella revealed that over 11 million have played the game till now. He also noted that “nearly half of the hours played” have been on PC.
If that weren’t enough, the title’s launch set a record for most Game Pass subscriptions in a single day. While sales numbers haven’t been revealed, Starfield has performed very well in the UK and US. It was the second best-selling game in the UK for September and is currently the seventh best-selling title year-to-date in the United States.
Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review here for more details. While updates, improvements and full mod support are on the way, Bethesda is also working on DLC, including the expansion Shattered Space (which doesn’t yet have a release date). Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
