Quite a few new details about the upcoming expansion for Starfield, Shattered Space, are being revealed. One of the more interesting new pieces of information about the expansion is that it will feature some horror elements as well.

According to a preview by Eurogamer, the DLC, which largely revolves around House Va’Ruun, will also add some spookiness to the game—an aspect that is surprisingly missing from the otherwise relatively diverse settings and missions in Starfield. The expansion will also feature new equipment for players to find, including weapons and gear.

While we’ve already learned that players will get to explore the city of Dazra on the hidden home planet of House Va’Ruun, previews have also revealed that players can freely leave the planet at any time to take on side-objectives to take a break from the Shattered Space storyline.

Starfield: Shattered Space revolves around players investigate a distress signal from a derelict space station, which ends up leading them to the planet Va’Ruun’kai. The expansion will be coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 30.
