Starfield is finally coming to PS5, and it seems fitting that it should support PlayStation 5 Pro. The PlayStation Blog has since confirmed that two modes for the console: Visual (4K/30 FPS) and Performance (“improved visuals” and 60 FPS).

Of course, it will also support the DualSense controller, like different adaptive trigger responses for weapons. You can also play audio logs and ship intercoms through the speaker. You can also swap between first and third person with the touchpad, which also helps to access the map and scanner.

Interestingly, there’s no information yet on how Starfield will perform on the base PS5. While the Xbox Series X version launched with 30 FPS, it received an update that added 40 FPS, 60 FPS and even uncapped frame rate support. It seems a given that the base PS5 should include the same, but we’ll wait for more specifics.

Starfield is available on April 7th for PS5, launching alongside the Free Lanes update and paid Terran Armada expansion for all platforms. The Standard Edition retails for $49.99, but you can pay $69.99 for the Premium Edition, which includes Terran Armada along with Shattered Space, 1000 Creation Credits, and other goodies like a digital art book and soundtrack. Head here for more details on all the new features.
