Season 5 for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition will be receiving its third and fourth characters soon with Oro and Akira Kazama respectively on August 16th. However, Capcom also revealed the final DLC character coming this season – a new character named Luke. Check out his debut gameplay in the trailer below.
As one that will “help expand the world of Street Fighter,” Luke is a mixed martial arts fighter prioritizing punches and elbow strikes (though he can unleash overhead kicks as well). His strikes are capable of producing projectiles from range and one of his V-Triggers seems to double the number of hits per strike. More importantly, it seems that Luke could have some connection to Joe from Street Fighter 1 with the star motif and hair.
More details will be revealed in the coming months so stay tuned. Luke will arrive sometime in November and is the fifth character in Season 5 after Dan Hibiki, Rose, and the upcoming Oro and Akira.
