Subnautica Below Zero

Unknown Worlds Entertainment is back in the spotlight with its new, stand-alone expansion for Subnautica, titled Below Zero. Much like the original game, the expansion will start development in early access for Steam and Epic Games Store. Check out the launch trailer below and admire the new Pengwings.

Subnautica: Below Zero heads back to planet 4546B. You play as a scientist in a research station that receives supplies from the Vesper space station above. Naturally, things go wrong, and you’ll need to navigate some new frigid biomes, scavenge supplies, create a hospitable base, and much more to survive.

Along with cold waters, players will also navigate snowy peaks and frigid caves. New lifeforms, like the Titan Holefish and Brute Shark, can also be discovered, but be warned – some of them aren’t very friendly. With an emphasis on furthering the Subnautica story, Below Zero features its own mysteries to unravel. Will the bigger picture become clear(er)? Time will tell, but if Steam’s user review score of “Very Positive” is any indication, it’ll be one hell of a ride.
