Summer Game Fest 2025

Summer Game Fest returns in 2026 and host/producer Geoff Keighley has confirmed its date: June 5th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The past few years have emanated from the YouTube Theater, so this is a significant change, especially given that the Dolby Theatre has hosted the Academy Awards since 2001.

As for the show itself, Keighley promises a “spectacular, cross-platform showcase of what’s next in video games.” Obviously, it’s far too early to confirm what will be appearing, but tickets go on sale this coming Spring. For more details on how this year’s show fared, head here.

Before that, Keighley will host The Game Awards on December 11th at the Peacock Theater. It’s expected to offer some big announcements, world premieres and celebrity appearances while revealing the prestigious Game of the Year. Nominees have yet to be announced, but Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a strong favorite, especially considering its six nominations at this year’s Golden Joystick Awards. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming weeks.
