Originally a collaborative project between Ubisoft's Pune and Mumbai studios, the remake will now be handled by the studio that made the original.
Ubisoft Toronto is the lead but Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Shanghai are some of the other studios also working on the title.
Ubisoft says it's "not ready to share any additional information just yet." The remake is also seemingly releasing in 2022.
Ubisoft feels that more time is needed to complete the game.
