Re-Logic has said time and time again that it’s done adding content to Terraria, its critically acclaimed and multi-million selling sandbox action RPG. Heck, the last update was called Journey’s End (which was followed by the Journey’s Actual End update but we digress). Nevertheless, something is in the works and it could involve Klei Entertainment’s Don’t Starve.
On Twitter, it teased “just a bit of Terraria news” with a GIF taken from Don’t Starve (along with what seemed to be the Eye of Cthulhu). Over on Steam, it noted that optimization for Steam Deck was being done before stating, “You know how we always say that we are done adding content to Terraria? Well, about that… oh, wait, sorry, wrong game! Carry on, nothing to see here…”
If that isn’t a tease for something, then what is? The statement seems to indicate that new content related to Don’t Starve is coming to Terraria. However, the former could also receive content from the latter, perhaps the Eye of Cthulhu being a new boss monster. We’ll have to wait for more details so in the meantime, stay tuned.
