Dontnod Entertainment had a chance to shine during Square Enix’s E3 2018 showcase and it offered a closer look at The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Taking place from the perspective of 10 year old Chris, the new title will be free for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 26th.
However, despite taking place in the Life is Strange universe, what about the actual sequel to the game? Fortunately, in a new video, the developer talked about how this is NOT Life is Strange 2. In fact, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit leads directly into the sequel. According to the developer, it’s hiding “many secrets” and links to the new story and characters in Life is Strange 2. Those who piece it altogether should thus have a head start before the next game arrives.
As it stands, more information on Life is Strange 2 will be offered in the coming months. With The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit being free, it’ll be a pretty good distraction for fans when it eventually arrives.
