The Division Update 1.8

Ubisoft Massive has announced that the next big free update for Tom Clancy’s The Division will be releasing on December 5th for all platforms. Not only that but there will be a free weekend from December 7th to 10th for new players to try the game out. You can even purchase it for 70 percent off during this period.

Update 1.8 adds a number of new features to the game including a new zone called West Side Piers, a new Horde-like activity with Resistance and a 4v4 PvP mode called Skirmish. There will also be different alerts and side missions to complete, a new base to operate out of, new Exotic weapons, Rogue 2.0, checkpoints and Hunters to the Underground and much more.

Compared to what’s being delivered in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris which also launches tomorrow for $20 standalone, this seems like the better deal. Stay tuned for patch notes on update 1.8 and what you can expect in terms of quality of life changes.
