The Division Update 1.8

Ubisoft Massive’s The Division only recently received update 1.7 which added Global Events, Classified Gear Sets and much more but it’s not stopping there. It recently released a trailer for update 1.8 which will bring two new modes – Resistance for PvE and Skirmish for PvP. Check out the trailer for the same below.

Resistance seems pretty straight-forward as there’s the new West Side Pier to explore across two zones. Four agents will team up to fight waves of enemies from all the different factions and survival will lead to different rewards.

The map will also serve as the location for Skirmish, the 4 vs. 4 PvP mode where the team with the highest number of kills wins. The map will also apparently contain some “new open world activities” in addition to the two new modes.

Massive is also promising improvements to the Underground and Rogue system, changes to the gear system for improving stats on your favourite items and so on. Update 1.8 will be detailed on August 31st at 8 AM PDT via Twitch so stay tuned for more information on it.
