The Division Update 1.8

Following a short maintenance period earlier today, Tom Clancy’s The Division has received its biggest free update in a while with update 1.8. Along with fixing glitches, changing gear sets, adding an optimization station and much more, the update also brings a ton of new content to play.

For PvE players, there’s the new West Side Piers area to explore with its side missions, alerts and the new Resistance mode. Resistance is essentially Horde mode but with the ability to build fortifications and defenses, open up new areas and earn increasingly better rewards as it gets tougher. Underground has seen some changes with the addition of new directives, Hunters and checkpoints.

PvP players get the new 4v4 Skirmish mode which is straightforward deathmatch without any objectives or NPCs. There’s also the new Rogue 2.0 system which now lets you toggle whether you want to fight other players or not. That’s not including the upcoming Global Events which will be debuting in the coming weeks and awarding Classified Gear Sets.

Check out the patch notes for update 1.8 here and let us know whether you’ll be hopping back into The Division with these changes.
