Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within will be a horrific experience from top to bottom but it won’t be over quick. According Bethesda Europe PR manager Alistair Hatch on Twitter, the psychological horror title will last a good 15 to 20 hours.
“We expect The Evil Within campaign to last 15-20 hours depending on play style and difficulty mode.”
It would be possible to blow through the game quicker if you know what you’re doing…and no, it doesn’t seem running and gunning is the answer. The good news is that The Evil Within will also have three DLC packs coming up, one focusing on The Keeper and two focused on Julie Kidman, the protagonist’s mysterious partner. You can expect new maps, new enemies and plenty of opportunities for terrifying situations.
The Evil Within will be out on October 14th in North America and October 17th in Europe for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Let us know whether you’ll be getting it in the comments below.
