The Last Guardian

After a report from The Guardian revealed that Team ICO’s The Last Guardian would be revived this year, Just Add Water head Stewart Gilray suggested to the PS Nation podcast that Mark Cerny could be working to finish it.

Stating that “a certain somebody’s software team” was handling development, Gilray further added that, “And that certain somebody is the guy who helped out with the architecture of Vita and PS4. I’m lead to believe his team is now running Last Guardian to finish.”

For those unaware, Cerny acted as the lead architect for the PS, headed up development on Knack and worked with Naughty Dog on Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter and much more.

What are your thoughts on Mark Cerny working to ensure The Last Guardian’s completion? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the same in the coming week, especially as Sony’s E3 conference draws near.
