With every new console announced, an invisible timer immediately begins ticking down to when the older one will be phased out of existence. Of course, the PS2 bucked that trend with the PS3’s announcement and Sony is looking for the PS3 to do the same with the PS4’s reveal.
However, it does provide even great hype and focus to games like Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. The Uncharted developer is promising a lot, with a strong gameplay style and worthy multiplayer component.
Today, while responding to comments on the Playstation US Blog, Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli stated that the length of the title will “depend on how you play”. However, he also stated that “the campaign is our longest ever.”
He also stated in regards to a PSN downloadable version of the game that the developer “will have an announcement soon”. Overall, it’d be amazing to see just how The Last of Us, due to release on June 14th for PS3, matches up to the Uncharted series.
