The Last of Us Concept Art: From Ideas to Apocalypse

Check out some of the concept art for Naughty Dog's critically acclaimed survival adventure.

Concept art for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is now available, showcasing different environments and rough sketches of the protagonist Joel and Ellie. Check them out below.

Released exclusively for PlayStation 3, The Last of Us concerns a post-apocalyptic United States that has fallen to savagery and infected humans known as Clickers. Joel, a black market dealer, meets with Ellie and must travel across the country with her to find out what makes her so special. Of course, the military take umbrage to that, wanting her for their own purposes.

Using a third person perspective like Naughty Dog’s own Uncharted series, The Last of Us emphasizes survival and stealth over running and gunning. It’s also incredibly grim and depressing – but that doesn’t stop the game from being one of the most critically acclaimed titles of the year.

Check out our review of The Last of Us here, wherein we give it a perfect score.
