The Last of Us Extended Red Band Trailer: What Are You Afraid Of?

Drama and intrigue dot the latest trailer to Naughty Dog's survival adventure game.

Naughty Dog has released an extended version of the red band trailer for The Last of Us, set to release this Summer for PlayStation 3. The game follows Joel and Ellie in a post-apocalyptic United States as they travel across the country fighting off Infected civilians, military and vicious scavengers.

The newest trailer is an excellent mix of drama and story-telling, introducing us to characters and providing some subtext to Joel’s relationship with Ellie. Of course, there’s a grim atmosphere pervading the proceedings and whether that means we’re in for a less than happy ending later remains to be seen.

The Last of Us is perhaps one of the most anticipated games of the year, and easily the biggest exclusive of any console (yes, that includes the PlayStation 4) when it releases on June 14th. It may see a release on the next generation device but Naughty Dog is currently more focused on getting the PS3 version out.
