When the first The Last of Us was released, for many it was the first time they’d ever seen a mainstream game tackle things like violence and the human condition in such a frank and sharp way. Years later, and we are less than a month away from the sequel, The Last of Us Part 2. But if you can’t quite wait, or you just want to know more about the behind the scenes, a new podcast is for you.
Today, we got an announcement from Christian Spicer, a writer and stand up comedian, that we will be getting an official podcast focusing on the series starting next month. It will feature Writer and Creative Director Neil Druckmann, voice actors Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson and other people who have worked on the series, from the beginning with the first game, eventually going up to the sequel. It’s not said how many episodes the show will be or how long it’ll go for.
The Last of Us Part 2 will launch June 19th, with reviews going live on the 12th. The podcast will begin on the 9th and will be available on most major podcast services. For everything you need to know about the upcoming sequel, we got you covered through here.
