The Last of Us: Part 2 Cinematic Trailer Features Hanging, Torture and Gore

Ellie has become quite the bad-ass in the sequel. Plus, bonus Infected!

As expected, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part 2 closed out Sony’s Media Showcase for Paris Games Week. It opened with an older looking Ellie being dragged away and prepared for a hanging. An elder woman seemingly intervenes, captured by the men ready to execute Ellie and has one of her arms broken.

We hear about an “apostate” before all three opposing figures go down in a hail of arrows. As soon as Ellie is cut down, she and her new-found comrades prepare for the Infected (dubbed “demons”). As far as details go, there’s a lot to glean from the trailer including the fact that Ellie was part of the soldiers putting her to death.

Furthermore, the implication of her belly being cut open and committing a sin seems to indicate Ellie being pregnant. Of course, out of all the little details we got, there was no mention of a release date. Still, what are your thoughts on the latest trailer for The Last of Us: Part 2? Let us know in the comments.
