Whether before or after the recent leaks, many fans have awaited a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2. That wait is almost over – Naughty Dog announced on Twitter that it would drop a new trailer for the action adventure title tomorrow at 7 AM PT. Do yourself a favor and avoid looking at the tweet’s replies since they contain spoilers.
The Last of Us Part 2 follows Ellie several years after the first game as she seeks revenge. She’ll still deal with savage humans and the Infected but will also find solace with humans like Dina. The journey through development has been fairly rough with the game being delayed twice, most recently due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Though Naughty Dog stated it to be more of a logistics issue, things would get worse when the game’s major story sequences were leaked. Sony stated that the leakers in question were not associated with the publisher or with Naughty Dog (with hackers allegedly being responsible). The Last of Us Part 2 is currently slated to release on June 19th for PS4 with co-director Neil Druckmann announcing yesterday that it went gold.
