September 26 is Outbreak day in the world of The Last of Us, the day the disastrous cordyceps infection broke out and turned the world into a post-apocalyptic zombie wasteland. In the real world, though, Outbreak Day is a bit more cheerful, as Sony and Naughty Dog celebrate it with some cool stuff each year. Recently, it brought a huge sale with some great discounts all around. Now, Naughty Dog has also released a brand new poster, which showcased Joel sitting down with a guitar, with a wolf beside him.
What’s really interesting about this piece of artwork is that some time ago, we had seen an image of a dog wearing a motion capture suit for the game, so it’s likely that we’ll be able to learn more about its role in the game soon. My guess is that the wolf will be a companion character in the game, but as of now, I have no idea what role Joel himself will play- we haven’t really seen much of him so far.
