HBO has released new pictures of season 2 of critically acclaimed show The Last of Us, showcasing Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey reprising their roles of Joel and Ellie respectively.
The pictures, which you can check out below, were originally unveiled during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation, with Casey Bloys—chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content—showing them off.
The TV adaptation of The Last of Us seems to be following the original stories from the video games quite closely, with the casting for season 2 so far having indicated that the show will be taking on the plot of The Last of Us Part 2.
Earlier this year, Kaitlyn Dever was revealed to have been cast as Abby for the show’s second season, with Young Mazino taking on the role of Jesse. Dina has also been cast, with the role being taken up by Isabela Merced.
The second season of The Last of Us doesn’t yet have a solid date for its debut episode, but we do know that it is slated to air in 2025. In the meantime, you can check out The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which was recently released on PS5.
