The Legend of Heroes - Kuro no Kiseki 2 - Crimson Sin -

While Western players still eagerly await the first game’s localization, Weekly Famitsu reveals that The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki 2 -CRIMSON SiN- will launch on September 29th for PS4 and PS5. It also noted the return of Swin Abel and Nadia Rayne from Hajimari no Kiseki (which releases in 2023 for the West as Trails into Reverie). While the former’s eyes have seemingly become “worse”, the latter looks more mature and taller.

Along with new areas to explore like Messeldam, Capital Edith, Trion Mall and Centrumarche, story progression is changing a bit. As per DeepL’s translation, “Van and his collaborators are divided into different parts of the story.” It notes that two chapters can appear in the “same chronological order, and you can choose whichever you like.” This seems to indicate a branching route of sorts.

Special missions are also available that involve sneaking around. You can’t go to other chapters while on a special mission.
