The Medium
Bloober Team’s The Medium promised a scary experience, one defined by its Dual Reality gameplay which allowed for controlling Marianne in the spirit world and real world simultaneously. This only constituted a small part of the overall gameplay though. The game’s Silent Hill inspirations were much more apparent but it came off as a poor imitation more than anything else. While The Medium is one of the better games that Bloober Team has put out, it’s still a fairly middle-of-the-road experience. Considering the hype for it, especially as an Xbox Series X/S console exclusive (which has recently been confirmed for PS5), it doesn’t aspire to much more.
