Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 4
Milestone’s racing games are fairly odd. They’re good enough but lack that extra bit of polish and identity to really push them into the upper echelon . It’s something that Kyotonn’s WRC series struggled with until the recent WRC 9, which was a lot better than expected. With the fourth Monster Energy Supercross leaning more into the Supercross part of its namesake and providing a meatier Career mode, one assumed that it was beginning to break out. Unfortunately, it’s not as substantial as it initially lets on with uneven AI and questionably design choices. All in all, it’s not the worst game in the series but far from the step up than its current-gen console debut would let on.
