The Outer Worlds was a great throwback to classic RPGs with a fun sci-fi based setting and plenty of choices leading to a lot of hilarious outcomes. The game exceeded sales expectations for the publisher, which is a great sign. The game wasn’t announced with any post-launch content, but it seems it will get some, which was revealed in the most low key way possible.

In a thank you post from developer Obsidian to the fans, they mention that story DLC is coming for the game in 2020 at the end of the post in a rather nonchalant way. This is the first we’ve heard of any DLC coming, so it feels a bit odd, but it’s out there now. No other details were given, so it’ll probably be sometime next year before we hear anything.

The Outer Worlds is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game just got a recent update for several quality of life features, and the game will also launch sometime in Q1 2020 for Nintendo Switch.
