The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The Super Mario Bros. Movie premieres on April 7th in theaters worldwide, and before that, Nintendo has one last trailer to reveal. It goes live on March 9th at 2 PM PT and based on the teaser image, we may see even more Mario Kart action on Rainbow Road. Once again, no game information will be revealed during this impromptu Direct.

Starring Chris Pratt as Mario, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, the story sees King Koopa in pursuit of the Power Stars. He’s conquered multiple kingdoms and has the Mushroom Kingdom in his sights. Meanwhile, Mario somehow arrives in the land and must do his best to halt Bowser’s advance.

Besides Mario Kart, other aspects of the series include the Fire Flower and Tanooki Suit. Various kingdoms will also rally around Mario and their friends in the fight. Stay tuned for more details when the final trailer debuts next month.
