Last week, Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 released a short trailer for The Surge 2 which stated, succinctly, that you are what you kill. A new raw gameplay video expands on this, showcasing numerous fights and how players can dismember their enemies to obtain different items. Check it out below.

The 13 minute long video also serves as a nice in-depth look into the finer nuances of combat. Dodging around, using the Drone to target foes, parrying and counter-attacking enemies and so on play important roles in combat. Once you’ve selected the body part of choice, go for a flashy execution kill.

The Surge 2 is out on September 24th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It sees players visiting Jericho City which is under siege by rogue machines and other hostile entities.
