the surge 2

Focus Home Interactive’s newest trailer for The Surge 2 shows off something we’ve been seeing for a while now – the combat. However, as a vignette for how the combat will play, from beheading foes to taking on enormous bosses, it looks pretty good. Check it out below.

The Surge 2 is Deck13’s latest Souls-like title, set in a sci-fi setting called Jericho City. Most everything is out to get you, but there are multiple weapons to choose, from including spears, swords, dual blades, and more to fight back. Directional parrying and dodging, including a handy method to hop over sweeping attacks, are available as well. But your biggest asset is targeting specific limbs and chopping them off.

Overall, there appears to be plenty of variety, especially since you also have drones to customize for potential long-distance fighting. The Surge 2 is out on September 24th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. For more information on other aspects of the game, check out this trailer.
