Gun Interactive, best known for its work on Friday the 13th: The Game has announced its latest project, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Check out the announcement trailer down below.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is based on true events, as well as the 1974 film of the same name, and is being made in collaboration with Sumo Nottingham. Much like Gun Interactive’s past projects, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be an asymmetric multiplayer game. While the trailer hasn’t shown off much in the name of gameplay, it’s reasonably fair to assume that the game will function similarly to Friday the 13th, where one player takes up the role of the murderer (with the chainsaw this time) and others become survivors.

Unsurprisingly, there’s no information about when the game will be releasing or which platforms it will be releasing on. Of course, more follow-up details will be coming soon – so stay tuned until then.
