CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has had some rather serious issues on consoles, including frame rate troubles and saving issues on the Xbox One. While the PC version saw its latest patch 1.04 yesterday, there was no news on the patch for current gen consoles until today.

Regarding the release date of the console patch, community coordinator Marcin Momot stated that, “Unfortunately we can’t give the exact date. Patches on consoles need to be certified so it takes longer than on PC.”

The good news is that Momot confirmed the patches “are in certification right now. As soon as they are approved, they will be released.” Unlike the PC patches, CD Projekt RED has to go through Sony and Microsoft for the console patch, certifying it before it can be made available on PSN and Xbox Live respectively.

Patch 1.04 on the PC, meanwhile, corrects several bugs and improves the texture rendering quality of the game at High and Ultra settings. Stay tuned for more information on when the console patch will go live.
