The Witcher fans have plenty to look forward to in recent years, with CD Projekt RED working on a number of upcoming titles. That includes a new mainline trilogy, of course, while a remake of The Witcher is also in the works, on top of a spinoff being made by The Molasses Flood.

Those titles are all obviously a ways off from launch, but while we’re waiting for new titles in the coming years, in the short-term, series fans will soon be able to dive into an upgraded version of The Witcher 3, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the highly-acclaimed title also being worked on.

Earlier this year, CD Projekt RED confirmed that the open world action RPG’s current-gen launch was still on track for a Q4 2022 launch– and with that window soon approaching, many are wondering when we’ll get more concrete details on it. As per CD Projekt RED, it’s not going to be too long. Responding to the same question on Twitter, CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that news on The Witcher 3’s current-gen launch will be arriving “soon”.

Of course, how soon “soon” will be remains to be seen, but with October almost over, it seems safe to assume that it won’t be too long before CD Projekt RED makes an official announcement regarding the game’s launch- if the developer is indeed planning to stick to its previously announced launch window, that is.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for new details, so stay tuned for more updates in the coming days and weeks.
