Following up on the news yesterday that CD Projekt RED was working to push patch 1.04 for consoles and patch 1.05 for PC out soon for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, community coordinator Marcin Momot talked about some of the improvements and changes that both patches would be bringing to the game.

Along with the usual stability and performance enhancements, the patch will also ensure that Geralt doesn’t interact with other elements, like candles, near chests. If you’ve been frustrated at having to carefully position yourself in order to loot a chest and then extinguishing a candle by mistake, this is good news.

Camera movement will be smoother and the ability to enlarge one’s GUI and HUD along with fonts will also be introduced. A glitch affecting the Pyres of Novigrad and XP not being earned properly will also be addressed in the latest patch.

Patch 1.03 was the last patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Xbox One and PS4. It helped improve the frame rate and fixed saving issues inherent on the former.
