The Epic Games Store offers two free games every month. Up until now, that has led to some excellent games being offered to people for free, from Thimbleweed Park and Axiom Verge to What Remains of Edith FinchSlime Rancherand many others. The next game in line, though, is perhaps the best of the lot.

Jonathan Blow’s incredible first person puzzle adventure, The Witness, which launched back in 2016, is free now on the Epic Games Store, and will remain free up until April 18th. PS4 players got the chance to get the game for free last month, and now PC players can reap the same benefits. All you have to do is download the launcher, then download the game- and it’s yours to keep. It’s an excellent game too, and well worth the price of admission- which, in this case, is absolutely zilch. The very definition of a great deal.

In our review of The Witness, we awarded it a score of 10/10, calling it “perhaps the best example of a puzzle game” and “one of the most effective instances of interactive storytelling”. Read our full review through here.
