Destiny

Destiny, The Taking King and Wiping the Slate Clean

Ah, Destiny. Bungie’s long-awaited online shooter/MMO hybrid fell incredibly flat last year on release and the studio has been on a redemption mission ever since. The Taken King, the biggest expansion the game has seen yet and the start to Year Two of the universe will bring a ton of different changes and content to it. Suffice to say, the Destiny community was abuzz with details on the new leveling system, weapons, perks and more. However, it was also revealed that players wouldn’t be able to upgrade their Year One legendaries for Year Two. Oddly enough, while one section of the community (read: the Bungie forums) raged, the other (mostly Reddit) took a calmer approach. Ultimately though? Both sections will just be playing a lot of Destiny regardless of how they feel when The Taken King is out.
