Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Tripping and slipping attacks and no Adventure Mode tend to drag down this iteration of Smash Bros. Nevertheless, the amount of great stuff far outweighs the bad. Along with an extensive roster, including crazy new additions like Pac-Man, Shulk and Mega Man (with Cloud Strife, Ryu and Bayonetta being DLC), this was also the first time that eight fighters could partake in a single battle. Gameplay refinements include ledge trumping, the return of pivoting and overall faster movement compared to Brawl. There’s also an extensive range of modes like Event Mode, Special Orders, Trophy Rush, Classic Mode and much more, making it the best title in the series up till that point.
