The very, very definitive version of Guilty Gear Xrd features a roster of 23 playable characters, an extensive Story Mode (including After Story which serves as an epilogue) and M.O.M mode for grinding out battles. But along with the stellar visuals and rocking soundtrack, it’s the mechanical depth and satisfying combat that makes mastering each hero such a rewarding experience. Online play could be better but in terms of responsive combat with its own incredible style and panache, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is worth playing.
