Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
“Ultimate” is a fitting title for this iteration of Smash Bros. It features a whopping 80 fighters, a hefty amount of stages and several modes to get lost in, like the new Spirits Mode. Despite how infuriating Spirit Battles can be initially, they have the potential for some truly wacky combinations. World of Light also serves as a good campaign, though not quite on the level of Subspace Emissary from Brawl. Yes, having Trophies and actually decent online play would be nice (though Elite Smash is a very welcome addition). But this is still a great game, both for Switch players and fans of the series, with even more great things to come.
