Mortal Kombat 11
The Krypt and Towers of Time being super-grindy at launch couldn’t diminish the complexity or sheer spectacle that Mortal Kombat 11 has to offer. After a relatively underwhelming story in Mortal Kombat X, Mortal Kombat 11 knocks it out of the park with time-travel shenanigans and pure nostalgia. The fighting mechanics have been refined as well with Offensive and Defensive meters, striking a balance between footwork and combos. Each character has their own unique style and personalization, and each subsequent DLC character brought something cool to the game. With a semi-decent online mode on top of this, Mortal Kombat 11 reinvigorated the fan base, even if its multiple currencies still feel odd.
