Tekken 7
Finding that right combination of speed, positioning, combos and personality in a fighting game’s mechanics is tough but Tekken 7 has pulled it off from day one. It’s further succeeded by offering a decent Story Mode, extensive customization that is easy to unlock and Treasure Battle which sees you fighting against an endless stream of opponents with different conditions and cosmetic rewards. The roster is incredibly solid, boasting tons of diversity and feeling pretty balanced as a whole – you’ll spend a long time exploring the depths of fighter’s move-set and mastering the mechanics but it’s easy to get into. The presentation and sound design is equally top-tier and even if online play isn’t particularly amazing, Tekken 7 stands out among this generation of fighters.
