The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been touted as one of the greatest open world games ever created. Though it lacks the structured design and tropes of previous titles, Breath of the Wild delights in providing a huge world with emergent gameplay opportunities for the player to explore. Something interesting lurks around almost every corner and the sheer breadth of the world with the serene atmosphere helps immerse one completely. Breath of the Wild may have its annoying quirks like weapons that break down and a less developed villain than previous entries. However, the combination of classic Zelda mechanics with open world gameplay while avoiding many of the genre’s pitfalls makes it a keeper.
