Ubisoft’s revamp of the Assassin’s Creed franchise didn’t just slap some RPG elements on and call it a day. Assassin’s Creed Origins featured a much larger open world than before with a heavier focus on hack and slash combat, loot and exploration. The story might have been wonky but the side quests felt strong narrative-wise. Needless to say, the sheer range of content ultimately props the experience up.
